Old foes reunited

The old foes lock horns once more in an international friendly at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

Both teams picked up wins on Saturday in their respective games, with the Dutch beating Denmark, and Germany overcoming Israel.

The teams were paired in qualifying for the 2020 European Championships with the Netherlands victorious the last time they met in September 2019, before Germany went on to top the group.

The hosts are at 2.52 to win with Germany 2.78 and a draw at 3.45.

Dutch keep the goals coming

Netherlands beat Denmark 4-2 at the weekend with Christian Eriksen dominating the headlines after scoring two minutes after coming on for the Danes in his first international since his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

Tottenham's Steven Bergwijn scored twice for the Netherlands, with Nathan Ake and Memphis Depay also on the scoresheet.

Louis van Gaal’s team lined up in a 3-4-1-2 formation that was questioned by Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk who featured in the middle of the back three.

The Dutch are unbeaten under Louis van Gaal who is in his third spell at the helm although it appears they are still adjusting to the new formation. Given Denmark scored twice, Netherlands to win and both teams to score is of interest at 4.2.

The hosts have scored 26 goals under van Gaal with Depay claiming 11 and they are 3.35 to score in both halves.

Memphis Depay was on target for the Netherlands in their 4-2 win over Denmark on Saturday

In-form Germans tight in defence

Chelsea pair Kai Havertz and Timo Werner scored as Germany beat Israel to make it eight straight wins since Hansi Flick took over as manager. Germany have won all their games since being knocked out of last year’s Euros by England.

They have only conceded two goals in that time, with Manuel Neuer set to reach 109 caps if he plays any part on Tuesday night.

Germany are at 3.6 to keep a clean sheet in Tuesday’s heavyweight clash, and they are 4.6 to win to nil.

Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane – who were both second-half substitutes on Saturday – are expected to start as Flick makes more changes in readiness for a clash that will help him prepare for the World Cup in Qatar.
