Patrick Vieira and Frank Lampard will meet in the technical area at Selhurst Park on Sunday with nine FA Cup winners’ medals between them.
The pair are experiencing vastly different league fortunes at the moment with Palace firmly established in mid-table while the Toffees are in the midst of a relegation fight. A trip to Wembley beckons for the winners with Palace at 1.53 to progress and Everton at 2.58.
Palace all energy
Vieira won the cup on four occasions with Arsenal between 1998 and 2005 and added a fifth in 2011 with Manchester City. The Frenchman succeeded Roy Hodgson at the Eagles helm in July 2021 and has guided them to 11th in the Premier League and within sight of the final four. He has also overseen the progress of some fine young talent including Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher and defender Marc Guéhi – both called up to the senior England squad this week – while Wilfried Zaha and Jean-Philippe Mateta cause all kinds of problems in attack.
The team has a real energy and their 0-0 draw with Manchester City last time out was characterised by tenacity, resilience and determination. They had to dig in to beat Stoke in the previous round and Palace to qualify in extra time is at 9.6.
They have conceded three in their last five games in all competitions and are at 2.98 to win to nil. Gallagher has been a revelation this season with his workrate, energy and creativity. He has found the net on eight occasions and is at 3.45 to score anytime with top scorer Zaha at 2.82.

A big win for Everton against Newcastle in midweek
Little time to recover for Everton
Everton claimed a priceless victory on Thursday after Alex Iwobi scored a 99th-minute winner against Newcastle. Lampard broke his hand amid the celebrations as the Merseyside club secured their first league win in five attempts although there was the downside of Allan now missing three matches after being sent off.
While it gave them some breathing space in their bid for survival, they have only two days to recover from the physical and mental exertions while factoring in a journey to London for the early game on Sunday.
By contrast, Palace will have had five full days of rest and no journey to undertake so Everton will want to get victory wrapped up in 90 minutes and they are at 3.7 to do so. Iwobi’s goal was the Toffees’ first in five league games with Dominic Calvert-Lewin playing a part after coming on as substitute. Calvert-Lewin is at 3.15 to score anytime.
Recommended Bets:
Palace to nil @ 2.98
Palace in extra-time @ 9.6
Gallagher anytime @ 3.45
Everton in 90 minutes @ 3.7
