Champions League Tuesday tips: Bayern have unfinished business

Bayern Munich vs Red Bull Salzburg
8.00pm, BT Sport
The German giants got out of jail in the first leg in Austria with Kingsley Coman’s late goal grabbing them a 1-1 draw, so while they’re still massive 1.09 favourites to progress, they’ll have to be careful to avoid an almighty upset.
Salzburg warmed up for the game with a 4-0 league win, while Bayern were held at home by Bayer Leverkusen, and the fact that they were the fifth visiting team in six games to score at the Allianz Arena will give the Austrians further hope.
There’s usually goals in Bayern home games too, with that Leverkusen match the first in seven to see under 2.5 goals go in. There’s been 15 goals in their three home Champions League games so far this season.
Robert Lewandowski is going through what for him is a drought having gone two games without a goal, and failing to score in three of his last four. He didn’t even have a shot against Salzburg last time out despite Bayern having 22, and he’s now gone two Champions League games without even having a single shot. At 1.36 to score anytime here though, Lewandowski will surely find the back of the net again.
For Salzburg, watch out for German youngster Karim Adeyemi, who has scored 19 goals this season and was a constant menace in the first leg. The outsiders are not likely to win this but they should make it an entertaining watch.
Recommended bet: Bayern to win & both teams to score @ 2.32

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to see his team win their eighth straight Champions League game
Liverpool vs Inter Milan
8.00pm, BT Sport
Liverpool have Inter right where they want them holding a 2-0 lead heading into the return leg at Anfield following a thoroughly professional job in Milan. Inter had good spells but never managed a shot on target at the San Siro.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten at home this season (W17 D5) and, having won all seven of their Champions League games so far, can become just the third team to win their first eight in one season in the competition’s history.
Inter will give it a go, and Edin Dzeko has scored in three of his last four games at Anfield, but the Reds have kept 15 clean sheets in 24 home Champions League games and are nicely priced at 2.44 to get another.
It’s not really in Liverpool’s nature to sit and defend a lead though, and they’ll go out to score first and effectively kill off the tie. The hosts are 1.49 to get the first goal of the game here and are big 1.62 favourites to win.
Mohamed Salah has eight goals in seven games in the Champions League and averages a frightening goal every 69 minutes in the competition this season, so it’s no surprise he’s 1.97 to score here, and heads the anytime scorer market.
A real game could break out here with Inter scoring first, but if Liverpool come out and get one, then it could quickly turn into a procession.
Recommended bet: Liverpool win & under 2.5 goals @ 4.4
