Premier League Tips: Will Palace upset City again and can Chelsea bounce back?

The Premier League returns on Saturday with Arsenal looking to maintain their winning start, while Chelsea and Liverpool hope to bounce back. Here is our preview of all six matches.

Brentford v Everton

Kick-off: 3pm Saturday

Brentford’s home form will be essential in their bid to avoid second-season syndrome. Thomas Frank’s side delivered a spectacular showing the last time they played at the Gtech Community Stadium, thrashing Manchester United 4-0 with four first-half goals.

Given Everton’s attacking struggles without Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Bees should notch up another win here.

Brighton & Hove Albion v Leeds United

Kick-off: 3pm Saturday

Both Brighton and Leeds, who each have seven points from their first three games, will be delighted with how their campaigns have started. Only Brentford, Arsenal and Manchester City have scored more goals than Jesse Marsch’s men, who have made the net bulge seven times so far.

Despite that productivity in attack, there is reason to suspect this will be a low-scoring match: Brighton have only conceded one goal in their first three outings, and Graham Potter’s side barely gave up a chance in their recent home game against Newcastle.

Selection: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.92

Chelsea v Leicester City

Kick-off: 3pm Saturday

Chelsea need a response after their dismal display against Leeds last weekend. As such, Leicester could be ideal opponents given the issues surrounding the club right now.

Youri Tielemans and Chelsea target Wesley Fofana have both had their heads turned by suitors higher up the food chain, while Brendan Rodgers has come in for criticism from the club’s fans after a three-game winless streak. Therefore, this feels like the ideal match for Chelsea to get back on track.

Liverpool v Bournemouth

Kick-off: 3pm Saturday

Liverpool have had a ropey start to the season and they cannot afford to lose too much more ground on Manchester City. Remarkably, Jurgen Klopp’s men have conceded the first goal in each of their last seven Premier League games, and their defence has looked vulnerable in all three of their league matches to date.

Therefore, Bournemouth have every chance of finding the net at Anfield. Avoiding defeat will be tough, but the Cherries should have some joy going forward.

Selection: Liverpool to win and both teams to score @ 2.98

Manchester City v Crystal Palace

Kick-off: 3pm Saturday

Crystal Palace were one of three teams not to lose to Manchester City in both of their meetings last term. The Eagles actually triumphed at the Etihad Stadium, as goals from Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher earned Patrick Vieira’s side a memorable 2-0 win.

Palace have scored in three of their last four trips to the blue half of Manchester, a record that will give them a degree of confidence ahead of Saturday’s visit.

Selection: Both teams to score @ 2.16

Arsenal v Fulham

Kick-off: 5.30pm Saturday

Arsenal are the only team in the Premier League with a 100% record after three rounds of fixtures, and Mikel Arteta’s side should extend that run this weekend.

Fulham have made a decent start to the season, drawing with Liverpool and Wolves before last weekend’s 3-2 victory over Brentford. A trip to the Emirates Stadium will not be easy, though, especially as Arsenal have conceded fewer expected goals than any other team in the division so far. Go for a home win to nil.

Selection: Arsenal to win to nil @ 2.22
