Another round of midweek fixtures in the Premier League will have ramifications at the top and bottom of the table. We present a selection of our best bets.

Chelsea v Arsenal

Wednesday 20 April, 7:45pm, Sky Sports Main Event

Chelsea reached the FA Cup final for the third straight season on Sunday. Now Thomas Tuchel and his team turn their attention back to the Premier League with the Blues firmly established in the top four: they are at 1.89 with a draw at 3.7 against Arsenal. Timo Werner has been on superb form with three goals and two assists in his last two matches. His pace against a Gunners defence that has conceded six goals in their last three games may well be effective and he is at 3.4 to score anytime.

Mikel Arteta’s side have seriously stuttered with three straight defeats and four in five games which threatens to derail their bid for Champions League football. Despite having 76% possession, the north London side could not find a way past Southampton last time out despite numerous chances. They are at 4.4 for the win. The Gunners have had similar runs before under Arteta and they know they can turn it around but it is a lot to ask against such a good side. Chelsea to win/both teams to score is at 4.2.

Recommended Bet: Chelsea win/BTS @ 4.2

Everton v Leicester

Wednesday 20 April, 7:45pm

It has been a turbulent time for Frank Lampard’s Toffees although this match presents them with a good opportunity to get points on the board. They start the game three points ahead of third-bottom Burnley and on the back of victory against Manchester United. They are at 2.3 for the win with a draw at 3.45. Everton have been on target in their last three games and both teams to score and over 2.5 is at 2.12.

The Foxes were beaten by an added-time Bruno Guimaraes goal at Newcastle last time out as they conceded to a set-piece once again. The Europa League Conference double-header against Roma now the focus although a win for Brendon Rodgers’ side is at 3.3. Ademola Lookman is at 3.4 to score anytime.

Recommended Bet: Everton to win @ 2.3

Frank Lampard hopes Everton can build on Man Utd win

Manchester City v Brighton & Hove Albion

Wednesday 20 April, 8:00pm

Pep Guardiola reshuffled his side against Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final and was made to pay as the Reds raced into a three-goal lead and ultimately reached the final. Expectations are the manager will revert to his first-choice team although there was a lack of cutting edge against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

They are now without a win in three games in all competitions but are at 1.2 to get back on track. City may start the match in second following Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United meaning there could well be some nerves at the Etihad and a draw is at 7.2. However, they can be devastating and City to win/over 2.5 is at 1.81.

Graham Potter’s are seeking to claim their third major scalp in as many games following successive victories over Arsenal and Tottenham. However, winning at the Etihad is another matter although they have earned 25 of their 40 points this season on the road. A Seagulls win is at an eye-opening 19.5. Leandro Trossard has scored two in as many games and he is at 9 to score anytime.

Recommended Bet: City to win/over 2.5 @ 1.81
