Manchester City vs Wolves: Champions set for comfortable afternoon

Manchester City suffered a surprise defeat by RB Leipzig on Tuesday night. They had already secured top spot in their Champions League group, though, so we shouldn't read too much into that 2-1 loss.

City have won five on the bounce since losing to Crystal Palace at the end of October. They've been playing some magnificent football of late and have risen to the Premier League summit.

Wolves on the other hand head into the weekend without a win in their last three outings. They've not even scored a goal in that time and have been outscored by 18 of the other 19 teams in the Premier League.

Tip: Manchester City to win and both teams not to score at 1.68

Arsenal vs Southampton: Gunners can get back on track

Arsenal have slipped to seventh in the table after back-to-back defeats by Manchester United and Everton. To prevent the blip turning into a mini-crisis, the Gunners need to return to winning ways this weekend.

Their record at the Emirates Stadium offers cause for optimism. No team in the division has averaged more points per home game this term than Mikel Arteta’s side.

Southampton have won just one of their seven away games to date and scored only six goals on the road. This is a golden opportunity for Arsenal to get back on track.

Tip: Arsenal to win to nil at 2.84

Man United should be too good for Norwich at Carrow Road

Norwich vs Manchester United: Rangnick should continue positive start

Ralf Rangnick got his Manchester United tenure off to the perfect start with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend.

United were unable to beat Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday, but the blooding of several young players meant it was still a positive evening at Old Trafford.

Norwich have improved under Dean Smith but they will struggle to halt a revitalised United team. The Red Devils made a strong start against Palace and a similar showing in the opening 30 minutes here would surely yield a goal or two.

United will be hard to catch if they get their noses in front, and we could see their counter-attacking prowess come to the fore at Carrow Road.

Tip: Manchester United to win at half-time and full-time at 2.22

Liverpool vs Aston Villa: Gerrard can make life difficult for Reds

Steven Gerrard is one of Liverpool's greatest ever players and he's guaranteed to receive a hero's welcome when he returns to Anfield on Saturday.

There's reason to believe his current employers could frustrate his former ones too.

Aston Villa have won three of Gerrard's four games in charge. They've already looked much more organised without the ball, which was a hallmark of Gerrard's defensively sound Rangers side.

Liverpool will probably get the job done this weekend, but they could be made to work hard for their victory.

Tip: Draw at half-time at 3

Chelsea vs Leeds: Clean sheet could elude Blues again

Chelsea have suffered a dip in form as we head into the hectic festive period.

They were fortunate to beat Watford last midweek, before losing 3-2 to London rivals West Ham. Thomas Tuchel was then left to bemoan his side's lack of concentration in a 3-3 draw with Zenit St Petersburg on Wednesday.

Without a clean sheet in four games, Chelsea's defensive solidity appears to have deserted them. Leeds have Patrick Bamford back from injury and will fancy their chances of finding the net at Stamford Bridge.

Tip: Both teams to score at 2.1
